Countdown to D-Day - eight days to go
A week tomorrow is the 76th anniversary of D-Day. So many people were scheduled to be here this year - and so many have been disappointed. Let's hope things will be better in the months to come, and visits from overseas to Normandy's invasion beaches and battlefields will resume soon.
This year (with time on my hands) I'll be broadcasting from the beaches on June 6th. Sainte-Mère-Eglise with its beautiful old church will be one of the sites I'll be visiting.
