ON-LOCATION TOUR Omaha Beach to the F1 Draw

14.95 euros
LIVE from Omaha Beach, Normandy

Service Description

Omaha Beach, from the Combat Medics monument in Fox Green sector to the F1 Draw and Strongpoint 60. LIVE from Omaha Beach. "At 81, my Dad has always been interested in anything having to do with WWII and visiting Normandy has been on his bucket list for most of his life. Due to unforeseen health and physical limitations and of course Covid, it was most likely never going to happen. When I came across Patrick's on-line private tour, I knew that this would be the next best thing to being there....and it did not disappoint! It exceed expectations on what a virtual tour could provide. Coupled with Patrick's impressive knowledge and professional demeanor, he had us all glued to the screen for the entire time. What cinched the 5 star rating for me was that my Dad had learned new things about Normandy/D-Day that he had not learned through his 60+ years of reading and watching documentaries on it! We can't wait for the Spring so that we can sign up for additional on-line tours!" - TripAdvisor review A LIVE on-location tour of the bunkers, monuments, the bluffs and the beach. We begin the tour at the Combat Medics Monument in Fox Green sector and walk the beach to the F1 Draw in Fox Red sector. We will then follow in the footsteps of D-Day's only Medal of Honor recipient - First Lieutenant James Monteith - and climb the F1 Draw to Strongpoint 60. We will visit the German mortar bunkers and the trenches and take in Omaha's finest view. Using the latest livestreaming mobile technology, Patrick Hilyer's on-location virtual tours bring the sights and sounds of the D-Day battlefields and beaches right to your living room, den or office - on your tablet, computer, laptop, smart phone or TV screen. The tours are interactive - you and your guests can ask questions during the LIVE ZOOM briefing/debriefing. Patrick is an experienced D-Day tour guide and a member of the Normandy Battlefield Tour Guides Association. He and his wife run the travel consultancy We Love Normandy and both have worked in Tourism and Hospitality in Normandy since 2003. Tours are given in English Price promise - if you find an equivalent tour cheaper elsewhere we'll refund the difference
